I have mentioned many times before, my favorite YouTube contributor is Seth Adam Smith, this is not to say others are not good. Seth just happens to be on my radar. If you would like to know more about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, first watch this video and then visit the resources below (thanks to Seth for putting these all together):
Are you interested in learning more about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (also known as the LDS or Mormon Church)? Here are a few ideas:

As a young woman in the 1980’s, I loved reading anything that I could that was church related. I listened to all the church tapes that I could find, and I really soaked up as much as I could. One of my favorite tapes (yes, it was a cassette tape) was the Together Forever tape. I played it over and over again, and cried, and felt the spirit. When I saw this again for the first time in years, I knew I had to put it here for others to see, and maybe feel those same precious feelings that I had over twenty years ago.
Here is a snippet from Seth Adam Smith, one of my favorite YouTube contributors:
Mormons, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, commonly known as the Mormon Church believe that there is a wonderful plan, the plan of happiness. Because of this plan, Jesus Christ made it possible for us to be a family forever. There is a life after this life. Mormons believe we can be married, not just for this life, not just “til death do us part” but we can be married to our spouse forever. Through the sealing power performed in the Temple, Mormons believe we can be together with our family forever through Jesus Christ. Heavenly Father sent Jesus Christ to pave the way for us to return to Him.

The secret to untradeable school lunches is to give kids lunches that are creative enough to get their attention, but not so unusual as to put them off.
Try these five simple tricks:
1. Change the bread.
Sandwiches are great because they’re portable, easy to prepare and easy to eat. To switch things up a bit, try changing the bread. Instead of using white or wheat bread, use zucchini bread to make zucchini bread cream cheese sandwiches.
Or try peanut butter and jelly on banana bread. Or toast frozen waffles, and make nutella waffle sandwiches.
2. Add a new twist to old favorites.
Instead of plain old peanut butter sandwiches, try chocolate cherry peanut butter sandwiches or chocolate soy nut butter sandwiches.
These homemade nut butters are easy to make in advance, and they’re just as nutritious as regular peanut butter.
3. Give last night’s dinner new life.
Leftover spaghetti and meatballs, fried chicken or BBQ chicken taste great the next day.
You’ll probably want to pack the spaghetti and meatballs in a thermos, but fried chicken and BBQ chicken taste just as good cold as they do hot.
4. Think soup.
Soup makes a healthy and satisfying lunch. You can make a big batch of soup on Sunday night, and give it to the kids for lunch all week.
Try corn chowder, broccoli cheese soup and white chicken chili.
5. Make food smaller.
Bite-sized food is really appealing to kids. Try packing bologna and cheese rollups instead of bologna and cheese sandwiches. Or make mini frittatas in advance and pack them in a thermos for an appealing kid-sized lunch that’s healthy, too.
And don’t forget the side items. Instead of chips or cookies, try these healthy lunch ideas:
* Cheese Popcorn
* Frozen Grapes
* Homemade Soft Pretzels
* Granola Cookies
* Fruit Dip
* Apple Slices with Peanut Butter and Granola

I love Seth Adam Smith for his simplistic, yet beautiful way of showing us truth. This video is so touching, I hope you are able to feel the spirit as you watch and listen to this message.
For the millions of people who lived before the Restoration of Christ’s Church, temple ordinances were not available during their lifetime. Even today, millions live and die without ever hearing the name of Jesus Christ or without accepting the gospel he taught. Provision must be made, then, for those who have died without that opportunity.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (”Mormon Church”) teaches that all saving ordinances are to be performed on earth on behalf of the dead. Latter-day Saints, also known as Mormons, stand as proxies for their own ancestors in these ceremonies, including baptisms and sealings for husbands and wives and for parents and children. All temple work is valid only if it is willingly accepted by each individual prior to the Resurrection. Performing temple ordinances receives strong emphasis in the LDS (Mormon) Church. Members of the Church, Mormons, are taught that they have a religious obligation to trace their own genealogies and perform temple ordinances for their ancestors.

For many of us, actually sitting down and creating a food storage plan, seems not only difficult, but, costly and time consuming. Several women have shared tips on how they do their food storage, and although many of us know a fair amount, we don’t take the time to put all the pieces together to actually move forward with a plan.
Kymberly Mellen interviews various Mormon (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) women about their efforts to build a stock of food storage. The LDS church never wants to be alarmist about economic and financial hardships, disasters, BUT it does want all its members to BE PREPARED.
This video shows some really great tips, and ones that we should all take into account.

I was searching for some fun video’s to put up, as lately this is one of my favorite things to do. I ran across this one, and thought it was a good representation, and one that might make others more interested in finding out more about what we believe in, plus, it also had some great history and a link back to the church website.
Here is the info from the creator (YouTube user: lds999):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z3Zsvm… is a video describing how to learn more about the Mormon Church.
This video was created from clips from a few movies–The Restoration, Praise to the Main, Emma Smith: My Story–as part of my testimony of Joseph Smith, the Mormon prophet. Please leave a comment (on the YouTube page) about “Joseph Smith, Mormon Prophet”! Mormons revere Joseph Smith as the prophet who was called of God to restore the Church of Jesus Christ in its fullness to the earth, today known as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church or “Mormons”).
On a spring day in 1820, 14-year-old Joseph Smith sought solitude in a grove of trees and prayed to know which church was true. God the Father and Jesus Christ, “two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description,” appeared and spoke with Joseph.
Wondering which of the many churches to join, Joseph Smith had followed the counsel in the Bible’s book of James: “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God.” The Lord told Joseph Smith “that all the religious denominations were believing in incorrect doctrines” and that he was to await further instructions from on high. “In a state of calmness and peace indescribable,” Joseph Smith left that sacred grove knowing the reality of our Father in Heaven and His resurrected Son, Jesus Christ.
Joseph Smith’s first vision stands today as the greatest event in world history since the birth, ministry, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. After centuries of darkness, the Lord opened the heavens to reveal His word and restore His Church through His chosen prophet Joseph Smith.
Joseph Smith saw God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, not once, but innumerable times throughout his life. Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon, organized the true Church of Jesus Christ upon the earth once more and restored the plain and precious truths which were lost due to the apostasy of men. He lived great and he died great in the eyes of God!

STOP! Put your money away. Alot of people are after your cash, and you, quite understandably want to hold on to as much of it as you can. Last year alone, Americans frittered away more than $1 billion according to the FTC. How can you tell which are the deals and which ones aren’t?
Watch for these Red Flags:
Claims that you’ve won a “free” prize, or a fee to collect your “winnings” for a contest you haven’t entered.
Companies that offer freebies to entice you into attending a high pressure sales presentation, where there may be more incentives. You could lose sight of just how much this “free” deal could cost you.
Promises of insider discounts, special deals, or secret information offered exclusively by a firm. Often you can find better offers on your own.
Sales people who pressure you to make an immediate financial commitment or to sign a contract you haven’t read.
Contracts or forms that are hard to understand. Even minor mistakes in filling out the form may be used as an excuse to avoid honoring the agreement.
Companies that won’t put their prices or promises in writing. A legitimate firm stands behind its deals and wants to give you what you need to make a smart decision.
Firms that do not provide contact information or that provide only an email address or a post office box. After all, if you can locate them, authorities can too.

In 1998 President Gordon B. Hinckley warned us to get our houses in order. How many of us have done that? How many of us made a good effort, but let it fall by the way side? We are continually being reminded to have our houses in order…what does that mean? This video will explain part of what we stand up against in the coming years.
It’s not enough to just trust in the Lord, we have to do our part, and then trust that he will help us. Make a Decision and take Action…

Have you ever contemplated the Second Coming? Have you ever wondered why you came to earth at this time in history rather than say a few hundred years ago or even a thousand years or more ago? I recently was sent the link to this video and really came away with a renewed understanding and resolve from it…
