It’s sad to hear the Mitt Romney will not be running any longer. I am a little behind the eight ball, since this isn’t new, news, but I have been busy with other things, and quite honestly wouldn’t have said much other than the SL Tribune had an editorial, and it reminded me of all of the hundreds of people I have heard from online in the past 2 weeks, who are Standing For Truth and Righteousness.

Here is a quote from the Tribune, that I really liked:

“Confronted by these assaults, the LDS Church and its members have mostly played vigorous defense, standing up for their beliefs but not stooping to attacks in kind.
Perhaps they understand something about playing with fire that their tormentors do not. The same poll that quantified Americans’ reservations about a Mormon president also said that about 45 percent of Americans have concerns about an evangelical Christian as president.
All of which seems to us to confirm the wisdom of the nation’s founders that politics and religion are a volatile mix that should be avoided whenever possible, and that religious tolerance is the wisest way to promote a peaceful, civil society.”

I just wanted to commend all the members of the church that posted to Digg right after President Hinckley passed away. There were so many people who posted wonderful thoughts and videos and were fought by those who were crude and very unrespectful.

Let this time in history be a lesson to all of us. Whether others believe we are Christians, or not, whether or not we are treated fairly or are treated with respect, let us act as we did a few weeks ago. Support each other, and stand up for what we believe in.

I also want to thank those who are more notable in the media for standing up and speaking up for their beliefs and for their heartfelt thoughts and wishes. We truly have Christ-like members everywhere we turn, whether or not they have fame or fortune…you were all great examples to me.
