Our Sunday lessons were great yesterday. One Sister, Sister Hilton spoke in Sacrament meeting and told some stories that were very touching. In Sunday School, we read in the book of Revelations, as I am sure most of you did. In Relief Society, we had the last lesson in The Teachings of Prophet Spencer W. Kimball. The lesson was on Missionary Work. I was very impressed with how Sister Woodland presented the lesson, I know that she was guided by the Lord, and that she shared, as did the sisters who contributed to the lesson, what we as sisters needed to hear and feel in our hearts. I thought about finding a video about Missionary Work to post, and I ended up finding one that had Elder Eyring and converts to the church. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
One thing I understood more fully, was that we have been asked by the Lord to share the gospel with others, but, if we treat it as a duty rather than enjoying the service and the teaching moments, we are not really grasping the whole vision of what Christ would have us learn. I remember thinking when I was younger that I needed to be a member missionary, although I thought in my head of it one way, my heart has always led me in the most correct way of going about teaching others of the Lords church and his example.
If I could leave you with one thing, I would say, to remember always that it isn’t always inviting someone to church or being firm in saying that our church is the only true church, but sometimes it is listening when needed, serving, and being a a good example no matter where we are.
Just some thoughts, if you would like to share your views, please do so.
