God’s plan of salvation answers life’s great questions, such as: “Where did I come from?” “What is my purpose in life?” “What happens when I die?”
As Daughters of our Heavenly Father, we have the capacity to create. We need to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. We each have an inherent wish to create something that did not exist before…you might say I am not the creative type…” Think again…your spirit body is a Masterpiece created with the beauty, function, and capacity beyond imagination. The more you trust and rely upon the spirit the greater your capacity to create.
The desire to create is one of the deepest yearnings of the human soul. You don’t need money, position, or influence in order to create something of substance or beauty.
Heavenly Father’s Plan of Happiness
God’s plan of salvation and happiness helps you understand the purpose of life and your relationship with Him. Centered on Jesus Christ, God’s plan teaches where you came from, the purpose of life, and what happens when you die.
The Creation
God created man in His own image and placed us on the earth so we could receive physical bodies, gain experience, and become more like Him.
Under the direction of the Father, Jesus Christ created the earth as a place for you to live and gain experience. To progress and become like God, you had to obtain a body and be tested during a time of probation on the earth. While on the earth, you are out of God’s physical presence and do not remember your pre-earth life.? Therefore, you must walk by faith rather than by sight.
Not only did God create the earth, He also created man physically in His image. And what is the image of God as revealed in the scriptures? In the Old Testament God said, “Let us make man in our own image, after our likeness” (Genesis 1:26). Jacob declared that he had seen God “face to face” ( Genesis 32:30). Moses also spoke with God “face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend” ( Exodus 33:11).
In the New Testament, when the resurrected Christ appeared to His Apostles?, He told them, “Handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have” ( Luke 24:39). Later Stephen testified that he saw Jesus “standing on the right hand of God” ( Acts 7:56).
Modern-day revelation confirms these teachings from the Bible?. God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, appeared to Joseph Smith in the spring of 1820. Joseph revealed that the Father and the Son each have a “body of flesh and bones as tangible as man’s” ( D&C 130:22) . The Major difference is the Father and the Son have glorified, resurrected, immortal bodies.
