Review: Mormons Made Simple

by Molly on March 17, 2009

I ran across Mormons Made Simple. In their videos, they try to explain a little about who Mormons are and what we believe. Below is one of their videos:

I think they did a great job of showing how our 3 hour block goes. Because we use our meeting time different than many churches, its difficult for them to understand how and why we are in our Sunday service for 3 hours. I definitely thing that checking out these videos and sharing them with others would be a good missionary thing for all of us to do. If you have your own blog or website, and feel like you can share these video’s, I think you will definitely be blessed, as well as being doing your duty of sharing the gospel with others.

Here are some ways to share the gospel or for those looking for more information about the church, to find it by one of these ways:

Basic Beliefs & Doctrines:
Visit Mormon.org to learn more about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (commonly called the Mormon Church). The site includes information about the Church’s teachings regarding the family, the nature of God, and the purpose of life. You can also view frequently asked questions or ask a question of your own.

Honestly, the best way to learn more about the Book of Mormon is to read it for yourself. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (aka the Mormon Church) will provide you with a copy of the Book of Mormon free of charge. You can read through it and decide for yourself.

2. Meet with the Missionaries
Mormon missionaries don’t bite. In fact, they’re very friendly and would love to teach you more about the Church as well as answer your questions. Visits with the missionaries usually last about 45 minutes. And they’ll come to your home.

Mormon Sunday services are open to the general public. In fact, you’ll probably receive a very warm welcome from fellow church goers. The Sacrament service lasts approximately 1 hour and is followed by a 2hr block of Sunday School.
